When Dad was clearing out his car, Jerry was watching him. We keep a bowl in the car for whenever Jerry needs a drink outside, and when dad took the bowl out of the car, Jerry recognised it immediately, and got excited, thinking he's going to get a drink. He wouldn't settle down until dad filled the bowl up with water and let Jerry drink from it. Afterward, he calmed down and resumed watching Dad clear the car.
He's one smart dog.
