Mum's Monday: One of Our Dinosaurs is Missing

Although this is a flashback film, a tale from the past told in modern times for this film. This film doesn’t stand the test of time. It is very much outdated in the twenty first century.

‘Lotus X’ sounds like it involves spies and the like. It is very much like a secret espionage film. This is cleverly done to draw you in.

The setup of the film is well done, it is comedic and ridicules, why the second character had to also grab the pram? I am not sure.

It is nice to see the nannies help Lord Southmere (Derek Nimmo). It seems when some nannies are on a mission they are a formidable force to be reckoned with.

It is strange to hear Lord Southmere describe himself as a ‘Business man’. This doesn’t make sense as it is believable. This is what makes the viewer of this film keep watching.

The organisation of the nannies is genius it doesn’t last long though the nannies have children to look after. It is good to see as much as they like to help they take their responsibility seriously.

The comedic aspect continues and it is a small world for ‘Panda nose’ although outdated it is good to see that nanny has the upper hand on the situation.

This film shows that people do like to show-off. There are some places you can and there are places you can’t or really shouldn’t, like a cell wall. It is clever how these scenes started and turned out.

The film is called ‘One of Our Dinosaurs is Missing’ and it seems strange as the Chinese are intending to take it at first, so not missing really, but it all becomes clear when the nannies get involved. ‘One of Our Dinosaurs has been Borrowed’ doesn’t have the same impact as the actual title.

The scenes that show the dinosaur being transported around London are very well thought out with the inclusion of all the mist and fog, it all adds to the comedy of the film.

It is nice to see ‘Scotland Yard’ having a quiet night and the bloke in the car. The dinosaur is having a very varied night out around the city. It could be on holiday from loch ness, attracted to a secret admirer at London zoo and being hunted, yes it is thrilling and also being bet on at the races. This is all amusing to watch and then to top it all of it is now going for a train ride.

This film has a twist before the end and ‘Blackmail’ can be a very powerful thing. It is good to see it all work out in the end after another one almighty twist in this tale.
