Mum's Monday: Advanced Psychic Development by Becky Walsh

If you think you, know and/or want to develop your psychic skills then this is a very good book for you. It is no different to any other manual for any other profession. Yes, however, the wording is different, but you wouldn’t have the same wording in how to become a lawyer as you would in a childcare book. You would have the wording suitable to each profession and as I have said this no different.

This is a ‘how to’ guide to becoming a psychic. Part one how to use grounding and the vibrations, also how the brain works in a psychic. Part two is all about how to tune into the spirits that come through and how your ‘spirit guide’ works. Part three talks about God, I think you have to your own judgement depending on your beliefs, however, the part about removing blocks is useful. This is all clearly written and some of it is from the authors own experiences, which helps relate to it.

Part four is for if you want to turn being a psychic into a profession. The authors give us an insight into her own experiences of doing this with clients (all confidential of cause). It is good to see that it is not always an easy profession to be believed in, as the author talks about sceptics. She makes a very good point about being paid for her time, that you wouldn’t expect other professions to give you information for free, a lawyer is a good example of this.

There is a very clear part about different cultures you may come across and the pit falls, of saying something out of place. This book lets you know it is good practice to read up on different cultures.

The part about aliens, again, it depends on what you believe, and this is written as to not force you to believe, but with an understanding that it is hard to believe.

The author accepts there are sceptics out there which is a good thing, I don’t think someone writing a book forcing you to believe or ramming it down someone’s throat is not the way to go. Sceptics are not helped by the fact that some mediums and psychics are fraudulent and only pretend to do a reading just for financial gain. They prey on the vulnerable and having a hard time and/ or have lost someone close to them.
It is hard to tell a true psychic from a false one so people just give all the profession a bad name. you have fraudulent doctors but it doesn’t give the whole profession a bad name.

Part 5 and the last part talks about relationships, I am not going to say much about this as each relationship is different and none of my business, but I did become aware of something in myself, whilst reading this part, and that was that I have self-trust in myself. I can trust in myself to cope with a bad situation and also I am capable of continuing to follow my dreams.

This book is well written and very informative if you have and/or want to develop your psychic powers this could very well be the book for you.
