Video of the Week: Marvel’s Guide to the Multiverse (by The Imaginary Axis)

There’s not really much I can say about this, just that this channel doesn’t get the attention it deserves. If you enjoy comic books, games, among other things, then this will certainly engage you and keep you hooked. I did talk about another of his videos, “The Joker’s BIG Secret”, but a month after that he released the first of a two-part video explaining everything about DC, and the second explaining everything about MARVEL.

In both videos he talks about different theories regarding how the multiverse works, and beyond – the rules, if you will, and what beings can and do break them. Both DC’s and MARVEL’s lore is so extensive, it is difficult to piece together the facts, but Tyler has done just that and put both of their lore into two videos.

With so many comic books flying out of each company, following several different characters over the years, it was incredibly hard to pick up a comic book, because you would be in the middle of some huge storyline, or it would reference something that everyone else understood but you, because they had read the previous few issues. I knew there was an incredible amount of lore from each company, but I didn’t know there was as much as presented in both videos.

I picked this video out over the two because of what Tyler explains near the end. He makes the discovery that MARVEL and DC share a similar theory that is the string theory, but makes an even more mind blowing revelation, when he explains to us that, their multiverse doesn’t just sit within the confines of MARVEL and DC, but instead encapsulate essentially everything fiction.

Those two videos ignite the imagination, and gets you thinking just what can be achieved once you’ve applied the theories explained in the two videos to basically everything. Every movie separated by being in their own universe. That’s why, in some true stories there are certain facts that don’t add up. That’s because they do in their world, because the film is based upon… I think I’m going a bit too far, but you get the point… maybe.

My other point is, Tyler from The Imaginary Axes does an exceptional job teaching us about science and putting forward his theories based upon the evidence he’s collected from certain sources. I do highly recommend checking this channel out.
