The episode started with the team led by Robb Demarest investigating
the Black Horse Inn where there are claims that a bailiff, possibly called
Will, sat in the corner with his 2 dogs, and a little girl who had supposedly
been murdered, but they found no evidence of such murder. She was said to haunt
the fireplace.
The team set up their equipment including the EMF (Electromagnetic
field) reader and voice recorders to capture any EVPs (Electronic Voice
Phenomenon).
2 members of the team, Shannon and Donna, were sitting in the bar and
had the EMF reader on a table in the corner asking Will questions resulting in
readings being recorded up to 2 on the frequency scale. Another member of the
team, Barry, with his voice recorder asked Will the question about playing
games and got a voice recorded answer back, ‘perhaps’.
At the debrief the Black Horse Inn was declared to be haunted, but no
evidence was found on the little girl.
The second location in the village was Elvey Farm Hotel but after
extensive investigating, nothing paranormal was found.
The third location was Dering Woods also known as the Screaming Woods.
Soon after entering the woods, a scream could be heard but was soon debunked as
possibly being wildlife. It has been documented that foxes like to roam that
area. After more investigating and 2 members of the team getting lost in the
woods and having to be located by the thermal imaging equipment, no definite
paranormal activity was found.
On 6th March 2016, Mother’s Day, we spent the day at
Pluckley where a table was booked at the Black Horse Inn for lunch. The staff
there were friendly and were willing to talk about when the Ghost Hunters
International visited. The food was excellent, well worth our recommendation,
but unfortunately, we didn’t encounter any paranormal activity. After a short
car ride, we visited the Dering Woods/Screaming Woods, but we decided not to
enter for fear of getting lost as we didn’t have any thermal imaging equipment
to locate us. We didn’t hear any screams either, but then again, it was during
the day. If we returned at night, then we are confident in saying that it would
be a different story altogether.
