The Watch – Part 42:

Its movements were incredibly slow compared to that of the small robots, meaning that it would take much longer to throw a punch. That’s why I am not expecting it to throw any punches. A massive robot like this, I can only assume, is packing some very powerful weapons.

Then things started to change a bit. All along its legs, huge garage like doors opened and out flew even more robots. This wasn’t just a huge fighting robot; this was also a transport ship. The smaller robots were a lot taller than before, easily surpassing the others by a good couple of feet, if not, more. They landed with a thump, making the ground shake each time one of them landed. They looked different as well. A little bit broader in the shoulders. It looked to me as if the other robots had been working out down the gym for a while before coming to fight me. As well as their armour being stronger, their weapons were as well. I instinctively knew, just by watching them land.

There were about fifty robots from each leg, twenty-five from each garage, making it an even hundred. They didn’t give any warning before making their move. They attacked with incredible speed and agility, catching me off guard completely. They slammed their fists against my body, making me bent double, before being kicked in the jaw and flung back, where I was then simulating a tennis ball by being punched in the back, flying forwards once more where I landed on my front, feeling a little dazed and confused.

They hadn’t broken my skin, but their strength had made it feel as if I was going to have many bruises all along my front and back.

I wasn’t going to let them one-up me; I had to get back onto my feet and gain some ground. I used my super speed to move out of the way of their attacks and stood up. However, their speed was on par of mine and a couple managed to sneak up behind me, grab me by the collar and slam me into the ground, only to be picked up again and thrown. Whilst in the air, I used my strength to correct myself so that I would land on my feet, but a couple of robots caught me off guard once more, shooting me with their missiles.

They exploded in my face. The heat swamped me, burning more of my suit off. Bits of missile slammed against my body. Before I even knew it, I was up against one of the windows of the building, where I was grabbed from the front and thrown once more. I tried landing on my feet, but my exhaustion caused me to lose my footing and tumble onto my knees.

For the first time this fight, I was out of breath. I was in pain and exhausted. I knew I had to increase my powers once more, but I felt too weak to do so and before I even managed to reach my watch, I was attacked by the robots once more, being blasted by their missiles. I dropped to the ground.

I groaned with pain as I tried to get up. The robots decided to add insult to injury and pelt me with an uncountable amount of bullets from every direction. My back, front, arms, legs and head were being pushed to their limits. The pain had increased from a small tap to a stone throw to an actual bullet feeling, as my body wore out more and more. They eventually stopped. I was too weak to move. I still had my determination, but just couldn’t put it to good use. I’ve lost the movement of my body and am now going to lose the battle. I fought so much and got so far, but they have finally won. Sebastian has finally won.

I heard a loud mechanical sound of something large moving. I could barely move my head to see, but what I saw in my peripheral vision was all that I needed. The giant robot was lifting its hand up in the air, ready to swing it down with tremendous forces. I was too weak to move out of the way. I just laid in the small crater, waiting for the deafening noise and the world to go dark.

The gigantic robot swung its arm down and its fist connected with the ground with me stuck in the middle. The sound was horrific. The pain was unbearable. I felt myself being pushed down deeper into the ground. The robot’s metal crushing against my body. The worst part about all of this was that I was still conscious throughout the entire experience. When it lifted its fist up, I was barely hanging onto consciousness. My eyelids felt so heavy, I couldn’t even open them, just stare into the black nothingness whilst I clung onto the world for as long as I possibly can. I was no longer a threat. His enemy was gone for good. He can continue on with his plan without any worries of my interruption. He can unleash his army upon the world and become ruler, and no one is going to get in his way.

The robot stood up straight. All the other smaller robots retreated back into the robot’s legs and it too turned around and headed back to base whilst I was slowly sinking into the pit of unconsciousness. I was scared that I wasn’t going to come back, but I was also so determined to stay awake at the same time. The pain that exploded through my body and my determination to keep going mixed with the worry of not returning from being unconscious, my remaining drops of energy were used up in no time at all and soon I couldn’t go on any more and I dropped. All sound, all pain, all thoughts simply went away in a split second.

As much as I hated it, I actually felt relieved that I wasn’t going to feel so much pain any more – but for how long, I wasn’t sure.

The world around me went silent.
