The Watch – Part 47:

This is it, the final one. And like all the rest, went down just as easily. My plan worked and I couldn’t have asked for anything more. I had successfully pulled off what Sebastian had thought was impossible. I was in several different places all at once, and I didn’t break the laws of physics in the process. Well, if you want to class travelling through time as breaking the laws of physics, then yes, I well and truly shattered them like a chair through a glass window.

I hovered over the burning wreckage of the last robot, satisfied with my day’s work before I zoomed off up into the air and, inserting the necessary commands into my watch once more, returned to where Sebastian was one second after I left.

Something lit up on the dashboard of his helicopter because it bathed his face in red as it flashed on and off. He looked down and his expression was exactly how I had imagined it. Complete shock.

I could see the cogs working in overdrive as he tried to figure out what had just happened. Every single one of his giant robots was gone, and all at the same time. According to him, I had pulled off the impossible, and he was having a hard time comprehending that. His confused look quickly turned into anger as that was the only way he was able to process anything at the moment.

I just smiled before saying, ‘now if you would kindly take your helicopter back to your base and settle down, I will come and take you away to a place where you cannot do any more harm.’ He knew what place I had meant, so I didn’t have to point that out to him.

‘I don’t know how you managed to do that,’ he said, ‘but…’

‘If you’re going to say something along the lines of this fight isn’t over, or I’m never going to be able to beat whatever, you can forget it,’ I butted in before he could finish his sentence, ‘for you should know by now that no matter what plan you have up your sleeve or have already put in motion, I will dance all over it in a matter of seconds and you won’t be able to do a single thing about it.’

He didn’t know what to say to that. I think the sudden realisation of it all has finally kicked in. His mind must have shattered because of that.

‘You truly are a formidable foe,’ he said after a long, pregnant silence as he tried to gather up all the pieces of his mind and stitch them together again. I wouldn’t say he has gone insane, but it is safe to say that I have never seen a more physical representation of someone’s mind being blown than I have just now. ‘You came out of nowhere and stopped my every plan, and saved the world in the process. You must feel very good about yourself right about now, huh?'

I didn’t know where he was going with this, but he knows he can’t beat me now, so the only thing left to do is try to understand it all, and the only way he’s going to do that is if I answer his questions. But I refuse to answer any questions he has. I know that he is trying to understand it all, as well, so that he can use the information that I have against me. He began asking his questions, but I stayed silent. After the fifth question, he finally caught on that I wouldn’t be answering anything he asks, and so tried another tactic.

‘I understand that you don’t want to share your secrets,’ he said, ‘and for that I will admit that I am beaten.’ It’s about darn time. I sighed with finality. ‘Obviously you don’t want to let me out of your sight again, and so I will let you escort me back to my base’s rooftop, where you can then take me to where I belong.’

Someone like him never gives into defeat unless he has a plan. Or, could he actually be telling the truth. He knows that he won’t be able to do a thing to stop me so why should he continue to do so. He turned the helicopter around and headed back to base, where he touched down lightly and climbed out. I followed him all the way and landed beside the driver’s side door, ready to catch him and take him to prison before he tries anything else.

I grabbed his shoulder, so to not let him get away. He looked at me in the eye with a guilty look about him, but there was something in his eyes that made me doubt his true intentions.

‘Once you’ve taken me to where I belong, where will you go and what will you do?’ he asked.

‘I will go home and do what I normally do,’ I said cryptically. I wasn’t sure why I answered, but that kind of information shouldn’t hurt anything or anyone considering that my home is in another Universe altogether and my doing will consist of relaxing with my good friend Tom.

‘Sounds like fun,’ he said, smiling that hideous smile of his.

‘It’ll be a lot more fun than you’ll ever have for a very long time to come.’

‘Tough words,’ he teased.

‘Come on,’ I have had just about enough of his tone and antics. I want this over and done with as quickly as possible before he can cause any more damage. I grabbed his other shoulder with my other hand and flew up into the air, not caring about my sudden acceleration on his body. I flew up high into the air, before plummeting down an intense speed. I could see that Sebastian was wide eyed. If he was scared, he certainly didn’t express it in the ways I thought he would, or through any ways a normal human being does, anyway.

My instincts flared up again and my mind was piecing things together once more. As much as I want it to be over and done with, I have a feeling that this fight has a few more chapters to go before it’s finally over. I don't know about you, but I'm starting to get a bit bored of Sebastian's constant trying continue this battle on even though he fully knows that he has lost.
