1,000 Words: Destroy all Zombies: The Complete Series

Last year I started to and became obsessed over Game Dev Tycoon, a game that allows you to be the manager of your gaming company, where you have to build your way up from your bedroom in your home to buying your office and employees. At the beginning, because I was finding the right combination to make the best game you can to generate that much needed income. The first few games, I tried different genres and certain elements within each genre. It wasn’t until I decided to venture into the mature market and make a game that I would call Destroy all Zombies. That became an instant hit, and with the help of the press, I was able to move from my home to my office, and employ my first person.

From then on, like a good game company I was, I decided to exploit what I had made a success. As sad as it sounds, I game up with a very vague and brief storyline that expanded over 13 games, with the 14th being online only.

The games are as follows, in order of released:

Game 1: Destroy all Zombies. Scoring 7/10. Just a basic Zombie story, really. Setting up certain characters, and probably ending on a cliffhanger.

Game 2: Destroy all Zombies: The Uprising. Scoring 8.75/10. The Zombies are back and stronger than before. The Characters are struggling, but near the end, they discover a way to wipe them out for good.

Game 3: Destroy all Zombies: Annihilation. Scoring 7.75/10. Every zombie is destroyed... except they're not.

Game 4: Destroy all Zombies: Hell's Heroes. Scoring 5/10. Every zombie may be gone on the surface, but underground tells a different story. The characters venture to a world much worse than they've experienced before.

Game 5: Destroy all Zombies: Devil's Story. Scoring 9.75/10. Of course, the Devil is the main antagonist of the franchise. They must defeat the Devil if they want the world to truly be free from zombies.

Game 6: Destroy all Zombies: Rebuilding. Scoring 8.75/10. A ruined world. The Devil has been defeated. The characters must move on and rebuild a new world.

Game 7: Destroy all Zombies: The Final War. Scoring 9.75/10. With the zombies gone, and the humans allowed to thrive once more - it doesn't take long before conflict breaks out between them. The final war is between the humans.

Game 8: Destroy all Zombies: Your True Self. Scoring 8/10. It will take a while before the world can fully recover. During the rebuilding process, they discover remnants of the zombies. The Devil may have been defeated, but that doesn't mean all zombies will disappear. Whilst trying to eliminate the last few, the main character discovers something shocking about himself.

Game 9: Destroy all Zombies: The Last One. Scoring 6.5/10. Every secret that could be revealed has been revealed. The main character must make a monumental decision. You could say the ending was a happy one...

Game 10: Destroy all Zombies: Reset. Scoring 7.5/10. The last one is never the last one, really. To keep this franchise going even longer, the characters accidentally stumble upon something massive, which can help reset the world to how it was long before the zombies attacked. However, something goes wrong, and it resets the timeline, and zombies have come back. Every. Single. One

Game 11: Destroy all Zombies: Lost. Scoring 6.5/10. The main character, with help from the knowledge he's gained from the previous timeline defeats the zombies with ease, only to discover just how different this timeline really is, and soon he loses himself.

Game 12: Destroy all Zombies: Cold as Hell. Scoring 6.25/10. Venturing back to Hell, it's not what it used to be. Searching for the Devil, he's not there.

Game 13: Destroy all Zombies: Origins. Scoring 10.25/10. Instead, they uncover the true origins of everything. They finally have the chance to wipe out literally every zombie from existence.

Game 14: Destroy all Zombies: The Six Stones. Scoring 10/10. The story may be officially over, but that doesn't mean the franchise doesn't have to continue. A standalone game exclusive to online, and can be played by everyone all over the world. The objective of the game is to seek out the six stones which will give your characters strong enough powers to defeat all the zombies. Expect the playtime to be around about a billion hours to complete.
